Smithfield Slammin Festival

On April 28, 2007, Pond Security Service, LLC participated in the Inaugural Smithfield Slammin Festival held at Fleet Park just outside the Naval Base in Norfolk. A Certificate of Recognition was issued from the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, Timothy M. Kaine, which officially recognized and called observance to the attention of all Virginia citizens.

The Smithfield Slammin Festival brought together artists, crafters, food chefs, musicians as well as military and civilian vendors and families for two days of fun and fellowship to benefit the Navy MWR. The Smithfield Slammin Festival also served as a fine example of the successful partnership between military and civilian organizations that benefit many Virginia citizens.

The festival had live music including five (5) time Grammy and Oscar award winning artist Christopher Cross and other entertainment, vendors, children’s activities and, of course, great BBQ. BBQ Grillers from across the United States competed for over $30,000 in cash and prizes.

With over 5,000 people in attendance, Pond Security Service, LLC distributed company brochures and displayed a continuous PowerPoint presentation detailing our security service capabilities and experience which was viewed by thousands of potential military and civilian customers. In addition, Pond Security Service, LLC distributed employment applications to men and women interested in full and part-time security opportunities in VA.

Pond Security Service, LLC officially “kicked off" our commercial operations on March 15, 2007 - what an exciting way to introduce Pond Security Service, LLC to Virginia!
